Privacy Policy

Seasonaries is a platform for seasonal work, work exchange and volunteering. You can reach us at info@seasonaries.com for any privacy question, including data access and deletion requests.

• Account data: your email address and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), or the basic profile data Google shares with us if you sign in with Google — name, email and profile picture.
• Profile data you choose to add: display name, nationality, bio, interests, past seasons, travel plans and destinations you are interested in.
• Messages: messages you send in destination chats or direct messages.
• Employer data: company name, company type, website and contact email if you register an employer account.
• Usage data: pages viewed, listings opened and buttons clicked, stored with a random session identifier so we can improve the product.

To run your account, show you relevant opportunities, connect you with other travellers, answer support requests, process payments and measure which parts of the site work.

Some listings on Seasonaries are published directly by employers. Others are collected from publicly available sources such as employer career pages and public job boards. For those listings we store only publicly posted information: the role, the employer name, the location and, where available, a public application link or contact address, plus a link back to the original posting.

If you are an employer and want a listing removed, corrected or transferred to your own account, email info@seasonaries.com with the link to the listing. We remove or update listings on request, normally within a few working days. You can also create an employer account and claim the listing so you can manage it yourself.

Paid features such as boosted listings are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — Stripe processes the payment and returns only a payment reference, the amount, the status and the listing the payment relates to, which we store to activate your purchase. Stripe processes this data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in. We also record basic usage events (which pages and listings are opened) to understand what is useful. You can decline these analytics events in the cookie banner, and essential sign-in cookies will still work.

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services that make the platform run: our hosting and database provider, Stripe for payments, and Google if you choose to sign in with Google.

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Use your profile page, or email us and we will handle it. If you are in the EU/EEA you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

We keep account and profile data while your account exists, and delete or anonymise it after you ask us to close your account. Payment records are kept as long as required by accounting rules.
